The reef has been pretty good with king and cero mackerel and lots of yellowtails and mangrove snappers. We also had a 9 year old boy release his first sailfish too.</p>

Each angler was eligible for a backcountry slam from the IGFA.</p>
<p>Snook have been on the move around the beaches at Cape Sable. It is really good to see after the cold in January. Also tarpon fishing is still really good especially on outgoing tides.</p>

Ken Morris caught his first 2 swordfish, a 95 lber and then the second day got a beauty, which weighed 214 lbs! Mike Broadbent released a 40 lber our last trip out. The dolphin fishing improved a lot the past week from what it had been, we had 20 to 30 fish each day, including 10 big ones up to 45 lbs!</p>

<p>Also Hugh fought a huge Goliath Grouper to boatside on a Fox spinning rod with 50lb braid estimated at 300lbs. I am not sure if that was a bonus or not.</p>

Offshore we've caught a couple of swords, boats have been catching plenty of schoolie dolphin with a few nicer ones mixed in, on the reef the yellowtail snapper bite has been great, and there still is a few permit around as well. We also caught a handful of nice blackfin tuna up to 28 lbs.</p>

Rick Stanczyk.&nbsp; They later hooked a tarpon that caught them around the bridges.&nbsp; There's been some others caught this week as well while drifting with crabs.</p>
