3/18/10 still cool weather
Friday, March 19, 2010 at 05:22AM wind is persistently out of the north west and cool. The mackerel and trout bite in florida bay is very good now.
on the atlantic side the reef patches from 10' of water on out to 30 are producing plenty of mangrove snapper,yellowtail snapper and all the inshore grouper species. grouper fishing is strictly catch and release till may 1. the action is lots of fun though on light tackle.
I had Hugh Laumeister, Larry Johnson and his son Parker out and we limited out on snapper and released 20 groupers on a 3/4 day trip.
