Last Friday and Saturday the Cheeca Lodge Presidential Sailfish Tournament took place here in Islamorada. It's always an exciting event with good competition. The most relelases win the tournament, and we can't use heavier than 12 lb test main line! Some boats did well over the two days, while other boats never caught a fish. We were very happy to see Capt. George, who owns the Reel McCoy charter boat, take 1st place with 10 releases while running the private boat "Swagger". Not far behind him was Capt. Paul on the Relentless with 9 releases in 2nd place. It was the 2nd Leg of the Gold Cup sailfish tournament series, with the last leg being this Thursday, for the Islamorada Fishing Club Sailfish Tournament. Great Job Guys!

Tight Lines,
